ORA-38783: Instance recovery required.

Cause: An attempt was made to createa restore point when the database is in

mount mode but it was not shutdown cleanly before it wasmounted. In order to

create a restore point when the database is mounted, thedatabase must be

shutdown cleanly before it is mounted.

Action: Consider one of the following:

1. Create the restore point after opening the database.

2. Open the database, shut it down cleanly, mount thedatabase, and retry creating

the restore point.
