PurposeOracle Clusterware (12.1.0.2 onward) uses Oracle Database fault diagnosability infrastructure to manage diagnostic data and its alert log, this is a quick reference of this new feature. DetailsOracle Clusterware (part of Grid Infrastructure) uses Oracle Database fault diagnosability infrastructure to manage diagnostic data and its alert log. As a result, most diagnostic data resides in the Automatic Diagnostic Repository (ADR), a collection of directories and files located under a base directory that you specify during installation. This section describes clusterware-specific aspects of how Oracle Clusterware uses ADR. Log Data ADR Directory Structure Files in the Trace Directory The Oracle Clusterware Alert Log Incident Trace Files Other Diagnostic Data More space required in ORACLE_BASEAs Clusterware logs are moved to ADR which is part of ORACLE_BASE, more space is needed to ensure the file system won't run out of space. Upload to Oracle SupportWhen opening SR, instead of diagcollection.pl, TFA should be used to collect diagnostics, i.e.: <GI_HOME>/bin/tfactl diagcollect -from "Aug/09/2014 08:00:00" -to "Aug/09/2013 13:00:00" Without the fix for bug 19288396, diagcollection.pl in 12.1.0.2 base release will not collect all diagnostics.
