MMON trace file grows abnormally and the following messages may be noticed repeatedly within the trace:

This issue is caused by

Unpublished Bug 25415713 - MMON TRACE FILE GROWS WHEN NO TRACES ARE ENABLED

Solution
Apply patch for Bug 25415713 for Unix/Linux platform.
For Windows platform, patch 25415713 doesn't work, patch 27248708 should be applied. Patch 27248708 is included in WINDBBP 12.2.0.1.180531.
