ORA-38874: cannot flashback data file string- missingincarnation information

Cause: Flashback Database failedbecause incarnation information for the start of

the offline range for a file was not found in the controlfile. Flashback could not

update the file's header with the missing incarnation'sresetlogs information.

Action: Check the trace log for theoffline range of the data file. If redo logs from

the missing incarnation can be found, register the logsin the control file and retry

the command.
