ORA-38879: Cannot flashback data file string; may notbe able to undo all changes.

Cause: A data file was plugged inwhen there was a guaranteed restore point, but

Flashback Database was not enabled. It is possible thatsome changes to the data

file, after it was converted, were not logged to theFlashback Database logs.

Action: If the FLASHBACK DATABASEcommand was meant to rewind the

database to a time before the file was plugged in, takethe data file offline and retry

the command. If the FLASHBACK DATABASE command was meantto rewind

the database to a time after the file was plugged in,restore the original version of

the plugged in file and retry the command.
