ORA-25035: cannot perform DML on remote object from a crosseditiontrigger
Cause: An attempt was madeto do DML from a crossedition trigger that would
modify data in a remote database. DML from a crossedition trigger has special
rules applied regarding what triggers will fire as part of that DML; thesespecial
rules cannot be applied across database links and therefore the DML cannot be
allowed.
Action: Perform the DML in ahelper function separate from the crossedition
trigger itself; the special rules are not applied when the DML is not issuedfrom
within the crossedition trigger itself.
