DP 9 - Oracle backup - Bad message format. *RETVAL*3011

Hi all,

We are getting this message during a backup.

It seems that the database backup complete successfully, but got the message anyway.

¿Any Idea to solve this problem?

Environment:

Cellmanager:

DP 9 (patches 9.09)

Windows 2012 r2

Client (Virtual Machine) :

Linux / DA (patches 9.09)

Client (Physical Machine) :

Oracle Linux / MA (patches 9.09)

Well, after a lot of try and fail, I got to a solution that work for me.

On the oracle backup specification I just disabled the Data Protector managed control file option ... and that's all folks!

Backup works fine now.

As mentioned early in the post, it is important to have DNS well configured as well be able to ping / nslookup / telnet between client and CellMan.
