Goal
Is there Patch Updates (PSU) for Oracle Database Gateways?
Solution
The Oracle Database Gateway is a different product from Oracle Database.
There is no PSU, DBRU, OJVM or JDK patches for the Database Gateway products.
But, the above patches have updates for install "components", where a component can be specific products (database, listener, etc) as well as supporting components (eg: OUI installer, JDK, etc).
While the DBRU is listed under "Database", it can be applied to Gateway shiphomes because Gateway shiphomes are built from the same supporting components as Database.
So, you can apply the latest database DBRU, OJVM or JDK bundle patches to the independent gateway ORACLE HOME.
