标题: How Do You Prevent The Oda-admin Password From Expiring?
现象:
Users are stating that they are locked out or seeing password expiration which they had not seen before.
Specifically the ODA-ADMIN is forced to use a new password after 90-days.
Before the most recent upgrade (or installation) these same non-root users including ODA-ADMIN had flexible password expiration duration and enforcement.
The administrator (root) states that they unable to alter the user password expiration rules.

Alternative source: There is a similar symptom which does not have the same source. See comments in the Solution section.

改动:
Password expiration enforcement and timeouts after an installation or upgrade to 18.x on the ODA.

原因:
Password enforcement changed functionality on the ODA as of 18.1 and higher for non-root users.

解决方法:
There is no option to alter non-root user password expiration on 18c ODA including ODA-ADMIN at the time of this note creation.
Password changes are required within the 90-day window.
The root user / account must assist if the account is locked.
If you you need or would like to see the enhancement implemented, you can increase the priority which is reviewed and considered by product development.
Open an SR and requesting that the following ENH be considered or implemented.

1. Enh 28641196 - MAKE ODA-ADMIN PASSWORD'S EXPIRATION WINDOW LENGTH CONFIGURABLE

In the SR,

2. Provide a business impact statement including how this is desireable and how it impacts your business.
We can submit your request and impact to Product Development which increases the priority and improves the possibility the enhancement will be implemented.

Note: Some security features will not be considered optional. This includes the password complexity rules which have also changed over time in newer RDBMS and other Oracle Products.
