Symptoms

Newly installed 11G Agent fails to communicate with OMS.

[oracle@host bin]$ ./emctl upload
Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Release 1 Grid Control 11.1.0.1.0
Copyright (c) 1996, 2010 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.

EMD upload error: uploadXMLFiles skipped :: OMS version not checked yet. If this issue persists check trace files for ping to OMS related errors.

Cause

[oracle@usschpdb01 bin]$ ./emctl pingOMS
Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Release 1 Grid Control 11.1.0.1.0
Copyright (c) 1996, 2010 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.

Solution

1. Stop the agent:

<AGENT_HOME>/BIN> emctl stop agent

2. Secure the agent which will generate a new key:

<AGENT_HOME>/BIN> emctl secure agent

3. Start the agent:

<AGENT_HOME>/BIN> emctl start agent

4. perform an upload agent:

<AGENT_HOME>/BIN> ./emctl upload

5. Once the Agent upload works fine, Login to the console and verify that the Agent, host and all other targets are shown with correct status.

这个问题，我这里执行了以下操作后出现的oms console都看不到这个target：
execute mgmt_admin.cleanup_agent('ocm2.sztech.com:3872');
,后来，再执行 emctl upload，就出现上面的问题，解决办法，使用上面列出的办法解决。
