ORA-39283: Cannot drop, split or merge hashpartition: string

Cause: DBMS_METADATA_DIFF wascomparing two tables or indexes

partitioned or subpartitioned by hash, and a(sub)partition in the first object was

not present in the second object. Partition maintenanceoperations such as drop,

split or merge can only be performed on list or range(sub)partitioned objects.

Action: The difference cannot beeliminated with an SQL ALTER statement.
